Since 2019, Duck River has established itself in Portugal, aiming to be a leader in almond production. What began with the “pioneer” Antinha plantation in the Beira Baixa region quickly expanded to various districts and regions across the country. By 2020, we launched our second plantation in Alentejo and soon became prominent players in Portugal's almond industry, operating throughout Beira Baixa and various regions of Alentejo.

We are committed to sustainable practices, integrating renewable energy sources into all our growing properties. Through technological advancements and a skilled workforce, we are broadening our reach while maintaining a strong local focus. Our dedication to ongoing training ensures our team is well-equipped to tackle the challenges and seize the opportunities present in the growing almond market.

 

Our hulling facilities are strategically located in both Beira Baixa and Alentejo, allowing us to minimize our transportation footprint while providing hulling services to other growers in the region. We have also expanded into olive oil production, primarily sourcing olives from our own network of producers as well as from our own olive groves. With a rapidly growing dedicated team, we prioritize operational excellence and a steadfast commitment to industry certifications.
